The work of the three Thematic Living Labs for innovation in Agrifood sector has been completed in the framework of the project “Innovative Networks for the Agrifood sector”

Corfu November 9, 2020- The work of the three Thematic Living Labs of the Innovative Networks for the Agrifood sector - INNONETS project was completed, aiming to create working groups from representatives of the scientific world, business, local government and civil society. to discuss and make suggestions on how innovation can be more easily disseminated among quadruple stakeholders.

The three Thematic Workshops were experimental Regional structures of the project within the Cross-Border Thematic Knowledge Transfer Workshops entitled:

 

• Sustainable cities and islands

• Zero food waste

• Innovative agri-food companies

 

Its implementation was based on the capitalization of best practices for the creation of Living Labs and united parallel structures of the Regions of Apulia and the Ionian Islands.

The Interreg VA Greece – Italy 2014-2020 Program, with a financial envelope of € 123,176,896, is a bilateral cross-border cooperation program, 85% co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by the two member states (Italy and Greece) with a national share of 15%. The main objective of the program is the definition of a cross-border growth strategy between Puglia and Greece, aimed at developing a dynamic economy based on smart, sustainable and inclusive systems to improve the quality of life of the citizens of these regions.
