Dear all,

since there will be the World Food Day, which FAO celebrates every year on October 16 in over 150 countries around the world to spread greater awareness of food scarcity and food security, the Innonets project (Interreg VA Greece - Italy) has foreseen different events during the next two weeks.

The first one is scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday 7 October from 15.00 to 17.00 in online mode, with the living lab "Structural prevention of food waste: technologies for sustainable production -" Onlife" meeting, organized by the Puglia Region with the collaboration of InnovaPuglias.p.a. , ARTI (Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation), Polytechnic of Bari and the technical support of Naps Lab srls.During the meeting the following themes will be addressed: Food awareness, the impact of food on the aging of the organism, The food of the future, traceability, functionality of food with a focus on the Innotypic project.

On 8 Octoberat 4.30 pm, during the 84th Fiera del Levante in the Sustainable Innovation Exhibition (New Pavilion), the Living Lab "Food justice: right to food, food welfare and labour equity in the agrifood valuechains" will take place. The event, organized by the Polytechnic of Bari with the technical support of Naps Lab srls, takes place in the presence, with the possibility of following it online and aims to focus on food justice, right of access for all to a healthy and culturallyadequatediet and structuralconditions of inequality and discrimination.

The initiative is also linked with the activities promoted by the Municipality of Bari for the #BariFoodPolicy and takes place within the framework of the #TOGETHERFORSGD #SDGInAction communication campaign launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with FAO and other partners to promote the objectives of sustainabledevelopment of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Finally, on 14 October, from 3 to 5 pm, the final Conference of the Innonets project willtake place online. In addition to presenting the resultsobtained in the twoyears of the project, the initiativeis an opportunity to discussinnovation in agri-food, and in particular on consciousconsumption, circular economy and sustainability, throughthreethematic sessions, led by the project partners. The themes tackled will be: Conscious consumption and local agri-food practices; circular food economy and regional sustainability strategies; interregional network of the Mediterranean and the EU Green Deal.
