InnoNets, the third meeting between the partners of the European project on Innovative Networks for the Agrifood sector The third Steering Committee meeting of the project was held on April 24th hosted by Legacoop Puglia

Bari, 2020 April 27 – The third steering committee of INNONETS project has been hosted by Legacoop Puglia on the 24th of April 2020 in a digital environment due to the Covid-19 lockdown in Greece and Italy.

The working teams of the five project partners, as well as representatives of the JS attended this wide meeting, namely Region of the Ionian Islands (Greece) which is the leader partner; Corfu Chamber of Commerce; Apulia Region - Department of Economic development, education, innovation, training and employment with the technical support of ARTI; Polytechnic University of Bari and Legacoop Puglia (Italy) as well as the two Associated Partners: Hellenic – Italian Chamber of Commerce and the University of Basilicata.

At the first part of the meeting, the partners presented the already implemented activities, giving a special attention to the “Cross Border Innovation Agrifood Node”, the dynamic platform for the delivery of innovation support services to the Agri-Food sector.

During the second part, a discussion took place among partners concerning administrative issues and the collaboration in organizing the three Cross Border Thematic Living Labs.

Research institutes, administration bodies, agri-food SMEs and representatives of civil society shall form working groups in order to address important sectoral challenges and propose policies, protocols, procedures and innovative products as solutions under the three pillars: Sustainable cities and islands, 0-food waste, Innovative agri-food SMEs.

InnoNets project "Innovative Networks for the Agrifood sector" is financed by the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Programme 2014-2020, under Priority Axis 1 – Innovation and Competitiveness) and aims to promote territorial cooperation between the Apulia Region and the Region of the Ionian Islands (in Greece) in the agrifood sector, focusing on processes to strenghten innovative competitiveness in small and medium-sized enterprises.
